Rugged Cross Tabernacle
Chugiak, Alaska

Welcome to Rugged Cross Tabernacle

In 1980 four men, Gordon Kamholtz, Fred Watson, James Duke and Steve Wilson came to know the Son of God through the message of the prophet Rev. William Branham.  These men and their families formed a fellowship called Rugged Cross Tabernacle with Fred Watson as Pastor.  It should be noted that Bro. Hosea Davis and Bro. Ike McGowan have been faithful pillars since the beginning of this mission work, and many have came to know the Lord Jesus through their lives.  In July of 1996, Bro. Hosea went to be with our Lord Jesus.  May God rest his soul.

In 1983, Bro. Frank Dutton and his family came to the area from Washington.  In 1984, Bro. Frank was voted in as Pastor and has held that office for the past 18 years.  Approximately one third of our congregation lives in Anchorage, one third in the Eagle River area, and the other third are from the Matanuska Valley.

We originally gathered in the basement of an old schoolhouse.  The church moved from the old schoolhouse to four different locations before settling in its current location on Sherman Road in Chugiak.  Chugiak is a short 30 minutes north of Anchorage in the shadow of Bear Mountain.  We have been affiliated with Worldwide Missionary Outreach since 1983.

We are a group of believers bringing the Word of God to the 49th state and wherever the Lord leads.  If you are planning a trip to Alaska, drop by and enjoy our hospitality.

God bless you,
Bro. Frank Dutton
