Mission Work in Brazil My father, Bro. John Martin, took his first missionary trip to Brazil in 1972. On his first visit he met a man by the name of Archie Martin, who introduced him to Pastor Joaquim Gonçalves Silva who had become established in the Message of the Hour. Pastor Joaquim has been very instrumental in spreading the Message throughout Brazil for almost 30 years by way of radio broadcast, books, and tapes. The church he pastors in Goiania has over 2,000 believers and Pastor Joaquim is affiliated with more than 250 other pastors. In 1992, WMO started an aggressive missionary program to help many Brothers in Brazil. Our latest meetings were in 1999 with over 5,000 people and 200 ministers in attendance. The meetings were broadcast live via the Internet and radio broadcast throughout Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina. We also had meetings in Rio de Janiero with over 2,000 people in attendance. These were held with Bro. Veber, Bro. Vandalay and approximately 50 other ministers. God is doing a mighty work in Brazil. Bro. Marc Duarte is our coordinator for Brazil. He has been with WMO for over 20 years and has spent many hours on the mission field working for the Lord. God bless you as you visit this site. Remember the Brothers and Sisters in prayer. Your Brother in Christ, Rev. Marc Duarte, Coordinator for Brazil
Our most recent trip to Brazil took place in June 1999 with Bro. Daniel Martin, Bro. Alan Martin, Bro. Ron Perry, Bro. Don Furan, Bro. Ivan Garcia and myself. We saw God do many wonderful things amongst a people who are hungry for the Word of God. I am thankful that we have been taught to say all and only what the Prophet Messenger has said in this last day. There are many things to do in Brazil and only God can accomplish all that needs to be done. So as Worldwide Missionary Outreach labors to be in God's will, I pray for the leadership of Bro. John Martin and Bro. Daniel Martin and all others that God will guide us to the next place wherever it may be in this world. May God bless you, |
