“El otro día, una serpiente de cascabel mordió a una de mis ovejas en la cara. Serpiente más mortífera que vive por aquí. La cara de la oveja se hinchó y le dolió terriblemente. Pero la vieja serpiente de cascabel no conocía el tipo de sangre que corre por las ovejas. El antídoto suele elaborarse con sangre de oveja. La oveja se hinchó durante unos dos días pero luego la sangre del cordero destruyó el veneno de la serpiente.
Yo estaba preocupado pero a la oveja no le importaba. Siguió comiendo, siguió bebiendo y siguió subiendo porque sabía que estaría bien.

“A rattlesnake bit one of my sheep in the face the other day. Deadliest snake that lives around here. The sheep’s face swelled up and hurt her terribly.
But the old rattlesnake didn’t know the kind of blood that flows through the sheep. Anti-venom is most often made from sheep’s blood. The sheep swelled for about two days but then the blood of the lamb destroyed the venom of the snake.
I was worried but the sheep didn’t care. She kept eating, kept on drinking, kept on climbing because she knew she would be alright.
Often the serpents of this life will reach out and bite us. They inject their poison into us but they can’t overcome the Blood of the Lamb of God that washes away the sin of the world and the sting of death. Don’t worry about the serpent or his bite. Just make sure that the Lamb’s Blood is flowing through your veins.”
