South Africa Trip Report

The following is an excerpt from a South Africa Report from Bro. Don Furan:

I was invited to join about 43 other WMO Missionaries for one of our overseas church dedications in Monzi, Zululand, South Africa, on February 6th-10th, 2008. I went in a few days early to participate in some advance meetings in the Durban area. I stayed a few days after, for follow up with Bro. Marc Duarte and Bro. Darrell Robson. One of the days during our services, we were invited by the High School Principal to come and speak to the students. About 300 were gathered with their teachers to hear the singing and exhortation from the WMO group.

Students from the local school listen to the singing
Many baptisms took place following the meetings. Bro. Marc Duarte is shown with the microphone and Bro. Calvin is shown in the pool baptizing the sister.
One of the days following the meetings we fed some of the children. The staples of their diet is ground corn and beans like a pinto bean.
